Author Comments
There is no way I would have had the courage
to write my story without the love and support
of my family and the encouragement and caring I
received from all of my friends at Community Bible
Church in San Antonio.
Never, ever believe that you are alone in your
specific situation, whether it be abuse, addiction,
anxiety, anger or fear. There are others who can,
and will, help you. All you have to do is ask.
Through God's grace only you will be forgiven
for anything and everything you have ever done
to yourself or others, you will be transformed into
a new person with a new life and a brand new understanding of joy.
Thank you all for being an important part of
my life and my recovery.

God has surely sent me on this amazing walk through life that I would have never expected.
Besides being an active member at Community Bible Church, I now am a Volunteer for Prison Fellowship Ministry. This is MY thing!!
Our team goes inside the area men's prisons presenting 2-day seminars on topics chosen by the Unit Chaplains and presented by team members. Never before have I been so blessed as I am when we enter the prison units and greet the men attending our seminar. Their faces are aglow with their love of God and their beautiful voices bring tears to my eyes each and every time the choir leads us in Worship.
If you want to join us for the blessing of your life, please contact Prison
Fellowship Ministry at http://www.prisonfellowship.org or visit our local web site at http://www.prisonministrypartnerssa.com . The work is tiresome, but the rewards are many!

Prison Ministry Partners of San Antonio
Volunteer of the Month
When we began what was to become Prison Ministry Partners of San Antonio (PMPSA), Rena Montford was one of the first people to respond. And what a blessing she has been! She, like the woman in Proverbs 31, has many talents and works very hard at all she does.
Rena has a full time career, is a published author, facilitates classes at her church and is very involved with her family and friends. Most of all, she is one of our most productive and dedicated volunteers. Her passion for the San Antonio prison ministry is deep and infectious.
Rena initiated the PMPSA newsletter. She has recently built and is the Webmaster for our PMPSA website. Rena also serves on the in-prison ministry team and is always willing to help with any PMPSA project or need. In addition, she helps to facilitate and host our monthly meetings.
Rena’s life has not been easy. She has a son who is incarcerated; a son who found salvation behind the bars of a prison. This has given Rena the desire and strength to go into prisons and visit prisoners, wanting each inmate to discover that glorious saving grace and love of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Her book “Finally Broken”, is a story of broken marriages, a broken life and ultimately a broken will and the discovery of God’s perfect love and grace … bringing her into a relationship with Him that has not only changed her life, but has given her a hunger to share the love of Jesus with others - especially those behind prison walls. Her testimony of God’s healing and grace is profound. This grace shines no matter where she is or who she is with.
One of her fellow volunteers says, “When we go inside, she immediately connects with the inmates. They hear her as the mother of someone like themselves”. Her team director says, “Her loving imagination and creativity used in delivering the seminar lessons assigned her is a gift from God.”
Prison Fellowship Ministries and Prison Ministry Partners of San Antonio are blessed to have her. Her love and devotion to the Lord can be seen and felt by all who are around her.
Thank you Rena, we love you!
